Edinburgh Prayer Watch

Edinburgh Prayer Watch (EPW) was birthed from what used to be the "Edinburgh Prayer Wall". In 2001 a group of concerned intercessors saw the need to build up the walls of the city in prayer, and so set about covering the city in continuous 24/7 prayer, with praying people taking a set hour each week to pray. This praying group consisted of many Christian believers from a variety of church denominations and affiliations across the city of Edinburgh. Read more

If you are interested in getting involved in the prayer watch, then you can receive the weekly bulletins for a few months as a kind of “trial run”. We will then prompt you with an email to ask if you would like to formally join the watch or not. This way you have a chance to pray and see if this is something the Lord would have you do, without having to make an immediate commitment.

Along with the “Watch”, our desire is to see:

  •  Persistent, informed and effective prayer being practised amongst a growing number of  believers from across the city
  •  An increased “coming together” for prayer gatherings in many different places in the city
  •  A blending together of prayer and action, seeing prayer as a springboard and powerhouse for action/mission to all sectors of the city
  •  Ultimately, greater unity in the body of Christ in the City, with more networking and working together across the denominations and sectors of the city
